In 2015 when I had gone to attend the Jaipur Literature Festival, Tapri Central was just a random part of my itinerary because somebody had suggested it to us. And I ended up liking it so much that I bucket-listed it as a must visit for future. So, 5 years later, when I got an opportunity to come to Jaipur and visit JLF, I had to take my husband here at any cost. And this time I was even more impressed!

AMBIENCE

The cafe has a chilled-out kind of a vibe. You basically come here to unwind with your friends, it is that kind of a place. The rooftop is a lovely spot to reserve your seats, though it is usually crowded.

FOOD

I can go on and on talking about their food. We began with Tapri’s iconic masala chai which comes in a cute brass tea pot accompanied by a cute Parle G’s tiny pack. I am already a fan of their amazing Vada-Pao and lip-smacking Aloo-Tikki (unlike the aloo-tikkis that we are used to having). But what really made me go gaga was their Methi Thepla (seasonal) which was simply out of this world. It was so fresh and cooked to perfection!

The menu in itself is quite creative. It boasts of a plethora of teas and droolworthy quick bites.

SERVICE

A bell is attached to the tables that we can ping whenever required. Service was fine but food came a bit late. However, this aspect can easily be overlooked given the taste they offer.

In short, would I like to recommend this café? Definitely, YES! I would never miss a chance to be here whenever in Jaipur. If you love their stuff like tea accessories, tea leaves etc. you can buy them from their website.
