Since the time I have come to Palampur (not very long ago), I have been trying to find a good restro or a good bakery to satiate my palate for freshly baked goodies and desserts. Would you believe that the only motivation to wake up early on a Sunday morning has been to somehow reach Araiya before their breakfast buffet is over? And that’s solely because they have a spread of some really good baked items like donuts, croissants, cupcakes etc. But Araiya is far and hence is not a feasible plan on most of my lazy Sundays. And as my birthday was nearing, both my husband and I were in desperate search of a good baker around. Unlike the regular cakes, he wanted my birthday cake to be customized and in a quest for the same, we came across this home baker on Insta by the handle @minihomebakes<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First of all, her Insta profile is enough to give you a glimpse of what this cake artist can do! I mean, it did not take us a second to decide that we were ordering my birthday cake from here. Just look at this piece of art! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cake turned out to be as per the instructions told to her. And for the first time, a baker was interested in asking whether the 1\/2kg cake we were ordering should be tall or flat! “If the cake is tall and there are many people, slices should be thinner so that everybody gets an equal share.” Now that’s an insight! How come I had never ever given this a thought until she told me? Also, it was great to see her asking and discussing the customization in detail. And I, being the least detail-oriented person, wanted just a pretty delicious cake and she delivered more than that! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
